My first recollection of MTV was 1986...that feels like just a few years ago.

Went to 2Amy's on Friday night.  Food was excellent. Saw Kerri Strug.

Superman Returns?

So I went to go see Superman Returns last night.  And I'm not sure exactly what to say.  I liked it, but I expected more.  I wasn't too convinced with Brandon Routh as superman. 

Now, I will have to say that I was exhausted and could barely stay awake; add to that the incessant talking coming from behind me.  I would definitely go see it again (maybe this time in IMAX), and I definitely don't think it was a waste.

Strange

I just got back from a 3 day convention in Richmond, VA and I just thought I'd share some pictures I thought were hillarious and strange.  The first two were in a storage room and the last one was underneath a seat:

2 Amys

So I've heard a lot about this pizza restaurant in DC called 2 Amy's, and since I was in the area last night with some friends, we decided to check it out.

Now, I'm not a big fan of thin crust, but this was really really good.  I got the Norcia which was excellent.

I've heard good things and bad things about the service, and ours was pretty good....a little slow, but understandable on a busy Saturday night.

Anyway, definitely recommend it to anyone who wants good Neopolitain pizza in a relaxed environment.  Just be prepared to wait......

Still Alive....Just Insanely Busy

WOW!  I've been away so long I don't even know where to begin!

First of all, my Dad had knee replacement surgery about a month and a half ago.  It's something he's probably needed for a long time and it's good that it's finally done.

What that meant however, is that we had A LOT of family visit.  My Grandmother came for about a month.  This is definitely the best visit I've had with her by far.  To say the least, my Grandmother and I are not close.  We are originally from Arizona and we moved to Maryland when I was young....so I only saw my Grandmother once every few years or so.  I sometimes regret that (although there wasn't a whole lot that I could do about that...you know it's hard to buy a plane ticket when you're seven).  So anyway, she decided to come since Dad would be down with his knee.  Ad it was probably a good thing that she did because my mom needed a lot of help with cooking and stuff.  There were a few times I wanted to tell her off, but I held it in like a good little boy.

So she visted for a month, her aunt (my great-great-aunt, whom I've never met) also came for a week.  During that time, my Aunt and Uncle (on my Dad's side) and their two grand kids came for a few days....so it was a VERY busy time.

While they were here, we went to the aquarium in Baltimore.  You can check out those pictures here.

I'm actually at my cousin's house now (his parents are going through a divorce after 40 years of marriage......I don't even want to talk about that!) so I will hopefully be back soon and talk about my recent trip to Las Vegas.

New Nationals Stadium

This will surely shock anyone who knows me personally....but I was reading sports news today, and on this page, there are details on the stadium for the Washington Nationals.

So using my mad Google Earth and Photoshop skills I came up with this picture:

The stadium will supposedly be located in the middle of these four streets.  It will be nice when it opens.  I just hope no one gets shot going there :)

M i III

I went to go see the third installment in the Mission Impossible line.  JJ Abrams was at the helm for this one.  For those of you live under a rock, this is the same person who does Alias and Lost.

Overall, I'd have to say that the movie was good, great infact.  The only thing is that it was basically one long episode of Alias.  Even the music was the same.

So if you love Alias/Lost then you'll love this movie.  It was far better than M i II which was basically all about Tom Cruise's hair.
